Each knife is handmade individually designed with the intention of making it a functional, durable and long lasting everyday usable knife.
My knives are a result of hard work from design to completion, the aim is to produce a unique piece of equipment that will not let you down, in addition a work of art. Every knife Is Handmade, hand ground and heat treated and quenched in oil depending on the nature of material used. Which allows the blade to achieve 57-61 HRC and hence, good sustained edge retention.
Care of Damascus Knives
Due to the nature of the construction, Damascus knives require more care than high Chromium or Stainless Steel knives.
If neglected in damp/wet conditions the blades are more susceptible to oxidization (rust).
To avoid this issue simply oil the blade & handle when not in use or stored for long periods of time.
A simple Boiled linseed oil will be suitable for both the wooden handle and blade.
Care of leather sheaths
Leather is organic (skin) if left unattended will become stiff, dry, cracked and colour fades.
To avoid this, periodically wipe the sheath with a protective lubricant or wax. These materials are relatively inexpensive and can be purchased at any good leather shop, cobbler (shoe repairer).
